Do you fry it southern style in a cast iron skillet?

Man, I haven't had home made fried chicken for probably 20 years.

and I save the stove top for mashed potatoes and gravy, and a vegetable of some sort (probably either green beans or carrots tonight).

11. They're definitely old enough to help
You know, it's not so much the cooking, but the clean-up.

17. I made Southern Fried Chicken last night.
It only takes 12 minutes a side. Though I admit, there is a lot of prep work.

BTW, I make the best fried chicken in the world.

And no corn flakes.

18. yeah, I'm probably just going to buck up and do it
and let the kids do the dishes afterwards

No fear, I won't use cornflakes. I use flour, and I'll add some seasonings to the flour to make it tasty.

There are a few corn on the cob left from last night.... sliced tomato, and mashed potatoes w/ gravy.
