Heart Sick

Damn! This is not about me and I know that but I am so heartsick right now and I am angry.

What little faith I had left in human nature is rapidly dwindling. I know there are people who care about other people and who care about what's right namely the people here.

But I was just visiting the E- entertainment message board for a little break from all the real world sadness and there's a bunch of "freepers" there going on and on about how awful Kayne West is and defending Dumbya and lecturing the rest of us not to bash the uncritiziable leader. Including one person who is from MI and says she is a victim too who wants people to leave Dumbya alone. They are trying to make it seem like the people who object to Dumbya's non handling of the situation are criticizing the rescue workers. Instead of calling Dumbya to task for his incompetence they are bashing the celebrities who dared called him on his incompetence. They say it was too hard for the government to respond because of the overwhelming magnitude of the event.

I don't know maybe I'm just stupid but if the armed forces can go in and build bridges and roads in two days in areas where they are taking mortar fire is it so wrong to believe and hope they could do it in this country even if it is under difficult conditions?

I put up the links to the story on BBC on how the Northern Command was waiting for an order from Dumbya and the Keith Oberman link, I figured that said it all even better than I could ever hope to. I felt I had to do something but it almost feels like banging your head against the wall because no one wants to hear that their prescious pres could possilby have done anything wrong.

I know I should be prepared that that is how they are going to try and spin it but it makes me ill and so overwhelmingly sad just thinking about it.

All I keep thinking about is the lines from "Blowing In the Wind"

"How many ears must one man have before he can hear people cry,
and how many deaths will it take till he know that too many people have died?"

I've always tried to believe that at heart people want to be good even if previously it has taken them some time to wake up I am starting to believe that at this point that a lot of people are just going to continue to be deaf dumb and blind about the wrongs of this administration and just keep giving them a free pass no matter the cost of their blunders to human life.

Damn how do we keep believing there is hope and joy in life because at this point I think it's a dellusion?

Any way thanks for being an island of sanity here.
