PROJECT:Please give me your fave protest songs (CALLING DJs)
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 07:01 PM by lildreamer316
I am frustrated and homebound and a music freak so am going to make a compilation CD set of our favorite anti-war and inspirational songs. I welcome all suggestions but I will probably use those that are more widely known than those that are obscure; so please keep this in mind. Make sure you remind me of the obvious as well; don't assume I know them (I am only 32).Please give artist spelled as well as you can. Thanks in advance everyone1 Line 'em up........

On edit: Please keep this semi-kicked (like on the first page if poss.) because I want input from all shifts. I'll kick or repost if it drops too far though)

27. "BYOB" by System of a Down
lyrics...(if you've never heard it, imagine them being screamed...)

Blast off!
It's party time,
And we all live in a fascist nation.

Blast off!
It's party time,
And where the fuck are you?
Where! The Fuck! Are You!
Where! The Fuck! Are You!

Why don't presidents fight the wars?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why do they always send the poor?

Why! Do! They always send the poor!
They always send the poor!
They always send the poor!

***These lyrics seem even more relevant to me, having just read that the military is actively recruiting in the Astrodome. Now that's classy. :eyes:
