Do you ever wonder why neo-conservative don't....
..just go and create their own society somewhere? Kind of like the Mormons and the Amish have? As opposed to cramming their ideas down our throats and insisting we all live they way they see fit?

Just wondered. Maybe it's just too logical (or simplistic) to be viable. :eyes:

Any thoughts?

1. It is that whole evangelism thing
We must convert people in order to be useful to our lord or whatever.

3. I kinda' figured that was part of it...
I don't know. I just can't really get into the whole, 'let's convert the savages thing.' I just feel like it takes away from the concept of free will.

Apparently they forget about that one alot.

Anyway, the evangelical aspect is one part of the sum that brought on my divorce from organized Christianity.

Just thought it would be so cool, if they all packed up and formed their own world, community or whatever.

(sigh)

7. The concept of free will terrifies them
As well as the concept of things they do not understand...If they do not understand it and cannot control it, it is of the "Devil".

2. I'd love for them to do it.
Have them all move to that area and leave the rest of us alone.

4. I hear ya'--I'd dig that too...
Wonder if anyone has ever suggested this to them.

I guess the concept that you really have no power in changing anyone outside of yourself hasn't occured to them...

11. That's because of their fervent belief that they can change others.

5. Their system doesn't work without a lower class to exploit.

Think how quick a colony of leeches, and only leeches, would last. Without fresh blood to suck on, they die.

13. Good idea!
We tell them we ALL want to go there, because it will make us rich. Somehow we convince them that we believe there's a lot of money in the natural elements of Mercury, maybe they'd all go (thinking they were beating us out of money, and some great opportunity)...

Well, I can dream can't I :eyes:

9. They say the same thing about us liberals.
Trouble is, they're a tiny but ludicrously moneyed and powerful group while our numbers are vast but unorganized. This is why they can just take over our existing government like they have.

10. Because they are f*cking power hungry megalomaniacal control freaks
who want to convert and rule the entire world, not just group together with other like minded individuals. You will obey and love Big Brother damn you! War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. Bush is Moral.
