This has to be one (if not the best "Come-back") I have ever heard.

Bare with me here..This is SO cool....

One of my European friends is visiting me for a few days and he told me this story....

His father attended the Moscow conservatory many, many years ago and during the start of the year he (and the class) had an old Music Professor that was a very humble sweet Man. During one of the Rehearsals they were practicing a piece by Tchaikovsky.
One of the Trombone players kept complaining that the piece was to slow and couldn't we "speed it up".
After the Professor told him (for the 4th time) that it should be played at that speed the Trombone dude said "Why do we have to play it that way?"

The Professor looked him square in the eye and said.. very Meekly..

I play it this way because that is the way Tchaikovsky Taught me to play it.

Whoooa!..Christ..Talk about a great Come-back.. !
