This movie is out of print so catch it if you can. It's Mitchum's best.

6. Seen it on tape, maybe a while back. its a bit slow. Charles Laughton...

did a good job.... I dont think he directed too much... a pity. Talking about oldies but goodies.... I just saw THIS GUN FOR HIRE w/ Alan Ladd.. Wow. Yeah it was dated but you can really see how this movie influenced other films. How about KISS ME DEADLY...

7. You're right about "This Gun For Hire " being a great film

hard to go wrong with a Graham Greene screenplay. I always thought it was interesting that Ladd made his leading man breakthrough by playing a killer.
