Shafts: do you prefer straight; or bent?

Haha! Made ya look :P

Shell Beau started a thread about too much for jeans--I just busted out close to 3 bills (including sales tax) on my "play paddle" ;) so I understand sticker shock. On the plus side I should have this thing for YEARS and paddling has really dramatically improved my health--both physical and emotional/spiritual.

And I went with the cost conscious paddle choice!

6. Thanks Shell.
It's driving me nutty to wait for it to be shipped (I'm 6'4" and the stores rarely stock a paddle that fits somebody my size,) ah well, it'll be all the sweeter when I get it.

It'd be nice to have it tommorrow though--I'm gonna help a friend who is teaching some local high school kids to kayak. That should still be fun--even with my old war-club of a paddle.

For the record--I'm sure you are much cuter in those jeans than I would be! ;)

4. It's about dang time you showed up.
I was wondering whether you'd been investing in "play paddles" lately, Mr. "I paddle." ;)

I've missed the heck out of you, eyepaddle. :loveya:

8. Hi HeidI!
I've been out on the river a lot recently--but I did check in on the DU a couple times a week--we must've just been missing each other

But no longer! Yay! :bounce: :D :applause: :toast: :donut:

Oh yes, I had a few weeks worth of rage I needed to exorcise, so I have bee in GD more than my average recently--posting and not just looking for flame-fests.

 :loveya:

5. For me my, shaft question is regular or stiff, steel or graphite.
The golfer's conundrum.

9. I could've busted out another $75 for the stiffness of carbon
but just couldn't find it in the budget. These fiberglass jobs are just about indestructible though, and only a couple of ounces heavier. I should be fine.

I think one thing we can both agree on is--if it is something you plan on ENJOYING using, you get to pay heavily for the privilege of using.

So what'd go with--stiff or not?

;)
