11. Suppose we have a jar of pennies

that contains between 100 and 200 pennies, we can't really tell until we open it. We decide to auction it off. The winner will be the one with the highest bid, unfortunately the person with the highest bid is the most likely to have overestimated the number of pennies in the jar, and because of this could have bid more than the number of pennies and will end up losing money.

12. That makes sense

Whenever I bid I have to ask myself, Is it worth the money? Will it even work? Will it crash my computer? What recourse do I have if it doesn't? (This is especially true if the seller is a first timer.)

9. You need sniper software...

I love to shop on ebay and I use Auction Sentry. You put your bid un the program and it throws it in at the last second - you can set the time yourself. It works great!
