I need more lesbian friends.

When I lived in DC, I had quite a few male friends who were gay, and we'd hang out and have a great time. I grew up with a good friend of mine who was gay. For whatever reason, I never hung out with a lesbian until last night. On another board I belong to, a member there who I chat with was having girl problems, (keep in mind, it's a board dedicated to sports video games with an all but non-existent female population, the only regular female poster is my wife and that's in only the off-topic forums), so I figured I'd take a guy out for a beer, considering "he" lived here in Pittsburgh.

Through information exchange, she said that she didn't know if I knew that she was a girl. Naturally, being the liberal open-minded guy I am, I was surprised, but I don't care. I'm a donor to PFLAG and HRC, for crying out loud.

Well, long story short, we had a few beers and dinner at an Irish pub here in Pittsburgh (Mahoney's on Liberty Ave for you 'Burghers). She was so nice and easy to talk to! For me, my whole life, I've always found it easier to talk to women than men for some strange reason. Maybe its my entire sense of metrosexuality and lack of machoness. Who knows? So, in short, perhaps I need to make friends with more masculine lesbians.

:shrug: Nothing you said about her in that post indicated that she was "masculine." Perhaps you meant, you should hang out with more women who like sports? I'm not sure I understand what her being lesbian has to do with it.

I guess I make friends with masculine women and feminine men well. :shrug:

Never been a real macho sports is the only thing in the universe type of guy.....

I just feel more comfortable in the company of women.....

Don't care what sexual proclivities are involved....

Just like the women.....
