(former) Judge Roy Moore is O-U-T!
Unanimous decision by judicial court.
Moore has been removed as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.

HOORAY FOR OUR SIDE!

4. Multiple threads. He's not gone.
Don't be so thrilled. This is what he wanted. Now, he moves on to consolidate power, in the senate or as governor. More dangerous than ever. The right decision, though, and the only one possible.

13. from a long suffering native Alabamian
IMHO this was never about the 10 commandments.
It was always about Roy Moore.
The next seat coming up is Sen. Richard Shelby's(R) in 2004 (I think).
Shelby is very powerful in Washington, backed with plenty of money, and generally well liked here in Alabama. I don't think Moore would have a chance against him.

It has been said in local editorials that Alabama is no longer big enough for Moore. That he needs a national stage. For that reason many think he will not run for governor. I don't think we have seen the last of him, but I am ecstatic with today's results.

Just on: He's trying to reconcile "God's will" with what just happened to him.
Keep on dancin' Roy.
Jerk.
