Man Accused Of Urinating On Asian Woman

A 21-year-old Ann Arbor man is accused of urinating off an apartment balcony onto an Asian woman walking below with a friend and making derogatory comments about their race, city police reported.

The 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were walking in the 600 block of South Forest Avenue at 11 p.m. when a man began urinating off a balcony, reports said. They said he and another man used profanities and made ethnic statements about them because they are Asian, reports said.

Police went to the apartment and arrested a 21-year-old man, reports said. The 22-year-old man accused of the urination ran into the apartment and refused to come out, reports said. Police are to seek charges of assault and ethnic intimidation against him.

The victims and suspects are all believed to be University of Michigan students, reports said.
