God, I miss rain.
It's raining in Los Angeles today. Mild t'storms all night. It's so awesome! First time it's rained in like 6 months. I'm from the Southeast, I really miss t'storms.

I feel the road a callin'. Time to move on. Who's gonna take me in?

...SJBech are you listening? ;)

1. I couldn't imagine that! In the spring and summer, we
get afternoon thunderstorms almost daily. It is awesome though b/c the morning will be perfectly sunny, then in the afternoon, it clouds up and rains for a couple of hours, and then it goes back to sunny skies!!

3. I live in Mississippi. My town gets a lot of the
weather that stirs in the Gulf of Mexico.

4. I dont miss them!
After the insane rains that the Inland Empire has been getting in the beginning of the year... I hate rain!

Last night, the thunder storm sucked. I got literally no sleep last night because of it.

5. We had a hell of a lightning show here in San Diego last night.
My SoCal born & raised kids stayed in while I sat outside and watched the sky light up.

I'm from the east coast and recall many t-storms but in no way would I move back there to experience more of them.

6. You mean I'm basically giving up
thunderstorms? Booo! That's probably the only weather phenomenon from the midwest that I'll miss.

That said, isn't it about the start of the rainy season in LA? And like, how much rain do you typically get?

7. The rainy season is November - March
In San Diego County, the average yearly rainfall is a whopping 7 inches. Yes, 7 inches.

The thunderstorm last night was awesome. My dogs were freaked out :scared:.

It's very brown around here now and dusty. The rain will help for a day or two.

8. SEVEN inches??
We get that much if you combine two storms. Yeah, I'm gonna love the "rainy" season! :toast:

9. I generally love the rare thunderstorms we get in L.A.
and I liked last night's too - except for the period when it got REAL close. We're on top of a hill, and have a couple tall trees.

11. Went to a local high school football game friday night and
right before the game was to start the skies opened up and dumped trainloads of rain down on us. I have never seen it rain so intensely as it did Friday night. It lasted for maybe a half an hour/ The field and the facility flooded almost immediately, pools of water 6 to 8 inches deep everywhere .My wife and I had a golf umbrella and we kept halfway dry until we got up to leave and had to walk through the giant pools of water everywhere. Never saw anything like it in my entire lifetime.
