RECENT ACQUISITIONS

A) Split 7" by Inside Five Minutes / Tight Bros. from Way Back When. Orange vinyl.
B) Michael Jackson's Thriller.
C) Frank Zappa's "FREAK OUT!" Original copy. Not mine, but it's on loan.
D) Handel's Messiah.
E) Selected Mozart.

How cool am I?

4. I have a complete set of ORIGINAL Zappa vinyl
Uncle Meat with the book, Burnt Weenie with the poster, etc.

Plus the OLD MASTERS sets, all of Beefheart, Wildman Fischer (SIGNED "An Evening with') --AND the CD versions of all of these, and all the Bizarre-Straight LPs.

I also have about 35 Sun Ra LPs on the Saturn Label (originals--1960s-80s)., plus most of his "commercially released" stuff.

So is THAT cool or what?

I never got Sun Ra. I've tried, by way of Zappa and the Dead, to get there. And Eric Dolphy as well.

Pharoah Sanders is about as far out as I can go without phramaceutical assistance.

6. Buying vinyl in 2003 makes you a nerd, not cool

I haven't spent a penny on vinyl since about 1997.
