GOD IS ALIVE!!!! The miracle of the missing Debit Card

Ugh, this is what stress does to you. I've been housecleaning this weekend and throwing a ton of stuff away. Well Tuesday I was looking for my Debit Card and I couldn't find it. The last time used was paying for the parking garage at the hotel where Ramsey's birthday party. And when I go to parties I'm a typical girl that carries a small purse so I usually leave my wallet at home and bring just my ID & Debit Card.

Well it's Wednesday and I still can't find it. Figured it was probably in the trash because I threw a ton of stuff away (and yes recycled some other). And with 2 days until I leave for DC, I need to find that thing because I don't use credit cards anymore except for my business only one.

Now my banking situation is kinda strange. The only branch of my bank is the main office downtown (I work for a CC company) and fortunately I'm off today. The guy who manages the branch is the best person ever and he knew I was panicking as I told him my woeful tail. There was no way I could get a replacement debit card before the trip but he could give me a temporary ATM card that I could use until the new one comes (which I've used before when I first opened up the new account). I figured it was better than nothing.

So I'm getting ready to head downtown to my bank but first I grab a flashlight and I start searching in the crevices of my car. Guess what I found - MY DEBIT CARD!!!!! (oh, and my drivers license which was with it but I figured I had my passport if I needed ID).

Fortunately the branch manager didn't cancel this new card because he figured I was just stressing and when I told him when I last saw it he figured it was probably someplace nearby.

Talk about a miracle!!! I really didn't want to go to DC carrying a ton of cash with me and somehow it all worked out

OK, back to housecleaning (oh and downloading music - which btw, was paid for with my current card)

Oh, and I'll need your PIN too...lol.

I left one debit card in an ATM in DFW. Realized it when I boarded a plane for Nashville. I imagine you could see me crying and pounding on the window of the plane...lol

but I have such a great bank and our branch is actually for employees of the company only, so they really know us.

The guy just figured I was in a state of panicked and I misplaced it so when I called back he said he would have only cancelled it when I showed up for the temp one.

I told him if I hadn't of called him I would have never found it!

that he is a good employee.....he could get in trouble for not reporting it immediately, so I wouldn't expand much on it. Just tell them he is an asset to the bank. Good karma and all...:)
