Bad timing - we scheduled it for this weekend, when many of the Delaware Valley DUers will be in DC (as will a lot of people from my church)
Everyone is bringing checks made out to the American Red Cross
We're having muffalettas, shrimp, beer beads and hurricane drinks, plus a bunch of New Orleans music (from CDs) I have a small apartment on a huge property, so we're having it outside, and hoping the neighbors will be forgiving!
I ordered 35lbs of Mardi Gras beads from a place in Baton Rouge - there must be lots of other fundraisers happening, because their website thanked everyone who was ordering beads for fundraisers!
