Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 01:55 PM by JonathanChance
OK, You get want to challenge XZIBIT's homies at West Coast Customs to pimp out a craptastic ride. Which car do you pick?

A 1983 Renault Alliance?

A 1978 Renault Le Car

1972 AMC Gremlin

1984 Pontiac Fiero

1986 Plymouth Reliant

1988 Yugo

1982 Plymouth Horizon

1973 IHC Travelall

A Trabant

A BMW Isetta

1. My pick is the Yugo.
Just the looks on the faces of the guys when X drives the car in would be priceless.

Besides, the mental image of a Yugo with a Body kit ans spinner rims is amusing.

2. I gotta go with the Gremlin.
Especially after the classic Simpsons scene:

"Hey Otto! There's a Gremlin on the side of the bus!"

*Otto swerves the bus and hits Moleman driving an AMC Gremlin*

"Oh no! I just made my last payment!"

*car explodes*

I would love to see the Pimp My Ride guys try and attempt one of those!

5. They did do a Pacer IIRC.
They actually put shag carpeting in it.

I'd still love to see them do a Yugo.

3. How big of a screen could they fit in the Isetta?
That thing would look pretty cool tricked out.

4. Not so much a challenge...

but I'd like to see what they'd do with a beat up old eighties model Volvo 240. They're pretty damn cool cars to begin with, so it'd make a great canvas upon which they could paint a masterpiece. Maybe put an espresso machine in the trunk to satisfy the latté liberal that would be driving it.

6. HEY! My '82 Renault LeCar put up with a TREMENDOUS amount
of abuse. Shit, that thing was off its wheels catching air more than a lot of dune buggies!

7. Yeah, but how long did it last?
Every person I know that owned a Renault was constantly taking it in to the shop.

8. Actually, I never had to take it to the shop

I learned how to clutchless shift with that car, went cart-bashing at night in the supermarket parking lots, took it over some badly designed intersections and caught all sorts of air ( that stopped one time when me and my other three friends who were in the car at the time smelled gasoline after one particularly violent impact/landing/whatever you want to call it).

I had it crushed. It's now a box, or melted down. I miss my LeCar. It's the only thing outside a convertible that lets you and three other friends drive down the highway standing up out of the enormous sunroof at 70 mph. With sunglasses on.

11. Yeah, how many monitors could you fit in that bad boy?
Problem is, you'd need to put in a whole new suspension. IHC's were not exactly bult for a comfortable ride.

10. Le Car. Removing the taint of lameness the name has left on the vehicle
could be a challenge unto itself.
