4. No!
And after a hot, hot, hot summer we deserve it. The weather is beautiful out here in the desert.

6. In DC, where the winds are stronger than during the 'hurricane'
strongest winds I've seen down here. Still pleasantly beautiful and (was until it went down) sunny.

Then again its been snowing at "home" for a month now so no complaints (except I MISS THE SNOW)

8. Up to 60 mph here in the NC mountains of Transylvania county.
I live in the south side of a ridge line, so that has acted as a natural windbreak. The tree tops sway, but there is little wind at the surface. There has been damage in other parts of the county, including downed trees and power lines. I've got my flashlight handy to get me to my 9kW generator if the power goes out.

11. Flurries
We had snow flurries in Columbus, OH today. :( On the bright side it's still blustery, but the horrible winds lasted less than day.

12. Windier than a sackful of FReepers.
Smells better, though.

Seriously, I'm STILL not ready for the really cold stuff. Got a taste of it today, and I'm not happy.

14. Yesterday it was 15C and misty...
Today there's 5cm of snow on the ground, and the wind was gusting up to 100km/h (that's highway driving speed!). Bleah. My whole house was shaking all night, and at about 4AM I woke up to this awful hmmmm bzz bzz clunkety clunkety clunkety hmm bzzz noise, and it took me five minutes to calm down and realize that it was my printer resetting itself and cleaning its heads after the power came back on. Ick. And I had all these errands I wanted to do today! I'm really glad I bought books yesterday!

My entire dorm is shaking. We had a 63 MPH gust on South Hill in Ithaca this afternoon. Not sure if they felt that one down in town though, since Ithaca proper is sheltered from most of the wind. But suffice to say, it's windy as hell out there!

19. We are finally getting back to normal here in Michigan...after a
wicked night last night. Wind gusts in the 60's, trees falling over...downed power lines across I-94...yikes. Batten down the hatches, it's a rough one.
