1. My vote is yes but not for any of the reasons stated in your poll
You contribute as a valued member of the DU community but I don't necessarily agree with those positions, especially the Kerry position. But cheers to you anyway!
Lts of folks seem to agree and lots seem to disagree with a lot I post.
But I wanted to post a poll pnce and couldn't and was really depressed and I wanted to search the site several times to find things others said were here (or not here) or that I had done or not done.
But this poll is a way for folks to respond without saying anything other than. Yes we agree with you. or no. And what issues matter that interest me.
I worked for a polling firm once and found it fascianting. Bullshit. But fascinating.
Polls should be fun to answer and touch what matters to you and to DU.
and they had a department called "verbatim" where the polling people would note as much as possible the actual words of the respondents. And then the other people there would go through all the verbatim responses and categorize them. I was one of the temp workers that went thru the responses. It was great!! What they would do was call people to see if they had viewed a certain commercial, and the rest was recorded ---verbatim! To me, that was a good way to get the "pulse" of a certain area for sure. We also did "focus groups" but you cannot even get an accurate deptiction of opinion that way...
