we're having a lesbian couple to dinner soon, so we had a discussion about that, which led into other things, including: "are you a democrat or republican?"
He, rather insultedly, blurts out "democrat". We ask him "why?" not expecting much of any kind of response and he says..

"Well, George Bush doesn't want to stop the war, where Kerry would."

Sure there are lots of fine details that obviously aren't going to be 100% accurate, but boy that felt good.

And he's a definite screaming liberal. He's a Junior in HS right now, and taking much pleasure in turning in recruiters to the school board who are calling his classmates at home. It's his crusade to piss off his guidance dept. right now! Love my baby boy! all 6'4" of him!
