aber mit 17 habe ich durch Hamburg, Hannover (Niedersachsen?), Wuerzburg, Nuernberg, Muenchen (alle Bayern, gel?), Ulm, Ueberlingen, Freiburng (Baden-Wuerttemberg?), Frankfurt, Mainz, Heidelberg, und Koelln gefahren.

Wieviele Laender is das?

Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen, Baden-Wuertemberg, Niedesachsen, Bayern,

durch Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen, Baden-Wuertemberg, Niedersachsen, und Bayern gefaert.

(Und habe ich am meistens Deutsch vergisst!)

Sadly as my wife is german, i don't speak it... the convenience of a translater and an understaning in-laws family... hmmm... its never too late to learn...

We lived in Fulda, but traveled to Frankfurt, and other places.

13. Ich war als soldat zum Kitzingen, im Ober-Franken, gepostet.
Kitzingen liegt 20 km im Osten Wurzburg. Deutschland hat mir sehr gern. Es war ein wunderbar Land.

I love the British Radio station there. Always listened to it when I was struck in the eternal Bad Oynhausen traffic jam. (The Autobahn goes directly through a small town there. Actually the Autobahn ends just before the town and starts again behind it - jam guaranteed)

21. I was partial to the German radio broadcasts, myself.
Antenna Bayern, Radio Sieben, I think it was called. It was fun listening to the funny DJ's. Also, I remember hearing a commercial for a car dealership where the announcer parodied an American's bad German speech. It was hilarious!

22. I like AFN
The only station in the Rhein-Main area that plays decent X-Mas songs. The DJs are good and the "news" are almost satirical (especially the traffic-news) .

20. This will require major research!
Off the top of my head, I've been to Rheinland-Pfalz, Bayern, Berlin, some God-forsaken rest stop in what was then the DDR (don't know the exact location), Bremen, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and probably Hessen.

I'll get back to you when I've relived my 20s! :-)
