8. I have a supervisor at work that likes to be called "Bobby"
The guy is an asshole and 50+ years old. Why would a 50+ year old man want to be called "Bobby"? If stuck with the name of Robert I would go by Bob or Rob or Robert.

It comes off as if they are trying to sound close to and chummy with him...but maybe he likes it? I like Rob as a nickname for Robert.

13. Just about any of today's trendy or "creative" names
I find it hard to imagine a grownup called "Kayleigh" or "Casey" being taken seriously. And those aren't as bad as the ghastly names in the thread from last week. IIRC, the worst one there was Squirrelisha.

I know 5 females named Precious. Two of them are kids, and IMHO it's a little corny. One is a teenager, and it sorta fits. For the two adults, I used to feel wierd calling them "Precious," but it wears off.
