What's Everyone Doing Over The Weekend?
Hi Friends!

You know my love of the ocean and who could resist Russell Crowe, it's a must see this weekend for my family Master And Commander The Far Side Of The World

Here's the official website:http://www.masterandcommanderthefarsideoftheworld.com/

That's the treat but then there's the chores, laundry, cleaning house and yardwork but right now we are getting into the best weather and dryer air.
And DEMFAN & Florida Friends it's happening, the first chill in the air today! :-)

Hey Friends...Have A Great Weekend! :hi:

12. Well Congratulations Soleft and Girlfriend!
I bet she knows what a real sweetheart she's got too! ;-)

That's a must see list for me too...saw Elf..loved it! Got me in the Christmas spirit, infact I'm having my tree up for Thanksgiving! First time for me but it really did lift my spirits even at this time! :-)

That other one "The Missing", I love to see, love TommyLee, you know Al's room mate in college.

Sarge wants to see Looney Tunes, well the kid in me will come out in that one. Many Saturdays watching the Looney Tunes growing up and Bugs Bunny is always been a cool dude..."Hey What's Up Doc?"

Have a wonderful celebration, do something special Soleft!

2. I'm planning to see 'Master and Commander' this evening.
I've missed seeing a good adventure flick. IMO, "Matrix" and its ilk are Special Effects pictures, not adventures.

Also, I've been planning a DU get-together with some DU-ers from my neck of the woods. Hope they all show up tomorrow! :hi:

- have the weekly " why did you leave the towel on the floor !?!? " argument with the boyfriend .

- share new conspiracy theories with MommyPeridot via long distance and speak in code when we think the CIA is tapping the line

- see Matrix 3

- work on my music and burn it to CD so I can FINALLY get it copyrighted .

I don't come onto the DU on the weekends so everyone have fun .

and they are expecting their first child (YAY!) and the wife is feeling poorly in her first trimester, so they really need all hands on deck, so to speak!
We are getting a bunch of folks together and making food and are going to surprise them.
Next project: helping one of the other couples involved finish their one and only bathroom, which is torn apart right now for remodeling.

:hi:

It's a working weekend for me, although as a free-lancer, I can often take it easy in the middle of the week.

But I'm taking time off this evening to meet with some other Twin Cities DUers (attn: Minnesotan, see the thread in the Meeting Room) and on Sunday morning to sing with my church choir.

When I was younger I worked every weekend in a Catholic Nursing Home for 6 years double shifts and never missed a one...so I know back then it was 16 hour shifts but I wonder if they allow all those hours still. But the way Bush is killing overtime and in that low paying job was the only way to make a decent check.
Those are the workers you feel for under the Bush Regime!

Hang in there friend

my weekend chores are the same as yours. i've done a lot of raking already and was pretty much done but, with the recent high winds i have some maintenance raking to do. this should be it though, the trees are bare. i planted my garlic last week but neglected other areas in the garden so that's on the "to do" list.

watching some football and hanging out.

Have a Great Weekend,Crew!

36. Hi buddhamama
Football...I didn't know you are a fan...what team?

New England Patriots maybe?

Or your heart is still with New York...anyway last SuperBowl was very exciting around here and I wonder who it will be this year like alot of other DUers' would love to know.
But it's not how the game is won, it's how the game is played and that's my philosophy for the DUers' in the Lounge in Football season, be nice to one another even when cheering for your own team! Does that make any sense...:D

I've seen the trees at your place, what work that is but so beautiful, you're in God's country but not in winter, I am, but you got me in summer spring and this late fall! :7

Don't ovedue and hugs to you and your family! :loveya:  :loveya:

56. Sat - flea market/junquing; Sunday opera
Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 12:12 PM by supernova
Hey Crewleader! :hi:

Saturday is usually fleamarket day. I love looking at all the old stuff and asking dealers where they got it. Sometimes I buy a small trinket. Almost always have to have a spicy sausage dog with sauerkraut and mustard for lunch! :9

But I gotta bundle up tomorrow; it's actually cold here in NC now. :-(

Sunday after church is opera. We have a group going to Greensboro to see Lucia di Lammermoor. I've never seen it and am looking forward to it.

Also want to see Master and Commander. Seefaring epics are a personal fav. Don't know if I'll get to it this weekend though.

Other than that, I'm free!

Have a good weekend Crew! :D
