Rex are soo much fun. I can't believe someone left them by the side of the road.
They are on Petfinder.com. Go get em!

3. Are you taking care of the cats?
the top one is really pretty.

Unfortunately, I cannot take in a cat (mine eats me out of house and home).

4. no, i saw them on petfinder.com, rex are hard to find.
and i got two there all the way from tenessee. they are soft as cashmere, and very friendly and athletic like dogs. i know they are pretty weird looking, but they are more fun than most cats.
here are my babies:

5. you are lucky
my cat just sleeps and eats, but she is a real sweetheart and I love her.

Your cats are very exotic and pretty. I am glad you found them and enjoy them.

Thank you for trying to help out those cats. I wish i could do more.

6. why thank you. i actually found out about them becasue i can be a bit
allergic, and cornish rex are a lot easier to deal with. very little sheddish and dander. and then i decided i wanted two, so they wouldn't be lonely when i'm away. but i'm kind of anti-breeding- i always look for strays. also, they are way expensive. this idiot breeder was dumping a bunch of them. claimed these two were "bad mommas". their hair should grow back in after i get em spayed. they lose it when they are trumatized. it should be wavy, like a jazz age hairstyle. LOL. they are pretty weird cats. they follow me everywhere.
:D

7. my cat sheds unbelievably
she drops fur by the pound. And she eats like a large dog.

My cat follows me around as well. It is funny. And when I come home, she always gallops to the door to meet me.

this is my cat:

14. My parent's new owners actually was an outdoor ferral cat
and she prefers living out there (there is plenty of land and warm safe places she can tuck into).

But every morning she's there on their deck looking for food and some snuggling (she's actually very friendly). She also hits a few of the neighbor homes too.

My parents & neighbors got together to pay to get Grey Kitten fixed (that's her name) and found a no-kill shelther to take in her kittens for adoption.

20. growing up all our cats were indoor/ outdoor.
unfortunately some disappear that way. you can't do that with a Rex, not enough fur to get em through the winter.

18. Your cat sounds like my cat
He covers everything he touches with long fur, strolls to the back door when I come home in expectation of kitty treats and his can of cat food (which he promptly gets), and follows me all around the house. He's even starting to meow (a little bit) once in a while - kind of a soft little "m'rar." He lived outside for years before being rescued, so I guess that's why he doesn't meow much.

Your cat is a cutie!

9. Look how gorgeous!
How can anyone abandon a pet? Either on a roadside or in a shelter, animal abandonment makes me sick.

Such beautiful kitties!

16. Ocicats are wonderful, but I'd take lioness' kitty first.
That Oci and Rex won't have any trouble at all finding a home.

17. Rex are terrific...
Mrs. Dannofoot and I had our dear Wahoo, a black and white Cornish rex, for 17 years; we miss him dearly.

Indeed, they stay kittenish and playful almost all of their lives, and he never ceased to be affectionate, never became aloof. And as one who sneezes if he sees a Siamese, Wahoo never gave me any trouble.

Somebody go nab that little guy, you'll never regret it.

they pop up there more often than in NY. I don't know why, but they do.
