It's FRIDAAAAYY!!!! Any big plans for the weekend?
Personally, I'm stoked b/c the hubby and I are getting an overnite away WITHOUT the kids. They're going to Grandma's. Yahoooo!!

Also, on Sunday morning, I am performing for the first time with a choir I just joined a few weeks ago. I'm a bit nervous, but it'll be fun.

What are y'all up to this beautiful autumn weekend?

1. Mrs. McLargehuge and I will be overnighting
in scenic Manchester, NH sans kids (YAAAAYYY!!!). Tomorrow night we will be seeing Beatlejuice at the historic Palace Theater, and dinner at a lovely little Italian restaurant on Elm Street.

Jeez, you're a busy guy! Congrats, on both accounts, my friend.

Yeah, getting away, sans children, is a VERY big treat, indeed.

I wish you and your wife much Happiness together and a wildly romantic getaway.

Have fun!!

Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 10:49 AM by Shell Beau
are coming to stay the night tonight! And we are cooking out. Also my aunt and uncle are coming over to eat with us as well. So after they leave tomorrow, I am sure I will be glad to do nothing. The kids are 1 and 3. See what I mean!! :) But I LOVE LOVE LOVE my niece and nephew! I am stoked about seeing them!

Then I will spend the next two weeks being broke, sitting here at DU.

22. Thank you for the different perspective.
This is my full time job and it gets to me at times. But I am very fortunate that I have this oppertunity. I have time to work on my art and read and go out with the dog.

Since we don't have any kids to send away for the weekend, maybe in the near future I should give myself a break and bring in someone to do it for me, for a day. That would be so nice.

I chose my screen name because my dogs' name is Lily and she is as sweet as honey made from a field of callalilies.

41. We tned to forget just how blessed we are, in the midst of it All
We get caught up in the Small Stuff and forget what's really important. We ALL need to remember to "give ourselves a break" sometimes and not take Life so seriously. Simply being Alive is enough.

Life is SWEET, Lilyhoney!!

I wish you much enjoyment in your artistic pursuits.

34. Kinda. Going to two shows tonight,
one is a benefit for New Orleans musicians and another, Sharon Jones, because it will be fantastic and fun.

I also have a pseudo-boxing class at my gym tonight. AND I want to try to catch Bill Maher's show and take a nap, but that won't happen.

Saturday I sleep in and work at night only to go out again somewhere-I forget what's going on that day.

Sunday I sleep, get breakfast at a cafe, then go home and watch the tv until my brain feels normal again.

Good times.

It's called "box-bag" and you wear gloves and everything. I think it's synchronized boxing moves around a hanging punching bag so as you move and punch you get an aerobic workout.

Check out some business-related e-mails (thought a web design one was promising until I found out it was more sales related,) listen to music, read DU, go shopping - pretty normal weekend. Everyone have a good weekend! :hi:

74. If I could get some help writing my English essay today, I could
make plans for the weekend. Right now, my plans involve trying to pick between comparing and contrasting (get this) Britney Spears vs. Christine Agualera (I cannot tell a different) and McDonalds and Burger King (I cannot tell a difference). I'm concerned about this one.

85. Wow, good luck with that essay, Jamastiene!
Sounds like heady stuff, to be sure.

Have you seen the movie about McDonald's called "Supersize Me"? It's excellent, but after watching it, I will NEVER eat there again. Yuckola.

Well, as you explore the finer nuances of these many topics, I wish you much Clarity and Eloquence so that you are able to finish your essay and go out to enjoy this fabulous weekend.

Hang in there, friend!

97. I'm going to Toronto!
For two days, anyhow. Getting a massage tomorrow night at my favorite spa, going to Ward's Island for some R&R and eating at two of my favorite Torontonian restaurants.

It's back to Massachusetts on Monday. I haven't gotten away for a very long time--four years in fact, except for the move back east. This will be a great weekend to reenergize and get back to the world of the living.
