3. I hate you. (No I don't)
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 02:58 PM by Hong Kong Cavalier
Seriously (not really). I hate you. I'm not seeing it until tomorrow at 1pm.
Grrrrrrrrr.
Okay, so I don't hate you. I take it you enjoyed it?

5. I actually already know a few minor things.
My friend saw the pre-screening in May, and I asked him a few questions.
For some reason, spoilers don't really bother me that much. (But don't go blabbing the entire plot here, 'cause lots of other people woud be ticked.)

6. I am just back from serenity too.
I love it. I do have to say it is very different type of SCifi. OH, there is lots of 'Anti-current administration' sub-text, which you may love.

Anyway, now I am in love with Mal.

14. yes, I got it.
I think DUers are really going to like this movie big time. Who knows some super smart hacker may be inspired by this movie. For me, the subtext of current affair was just so overwhelming.

I really wants sequel because... well- no spoiler yet. There are still too few watched this show.

Anyway, this is the kind of movie that fans are going to memorized all cool lines. Oh, most likely we will start the thread like that soon here. But for that, I have to see it again. It was really a good story and there are a few really really cool twist. Originally, my favorite character was River. Now, I am finally falling in love with Mal.

Oh, May be you should start, the thread with spoilers soon!!

31. I just wish that Matt Groening could give them the finger effectively.
He's always poking fun at them, but it never accomplishes anything. I wish he had pulled the Simpsons from Fox when they cancelled the best TV Show EVER!!!

11. We just DVRed the entire series and
Well I am already a fan of Whedon's writing style so it had a lot of fits for me. I love good scifi and unfortunately there hasn't been a lot of good scifi lately. Fortunately Mr Jackson compensated by providing a lot of good fantasy recently.

12. I have 8 more hours to go
I can do it, I know I can... or maybe I should just leave work and go see it NOW!!!

Please tell me that it's gonna be a big hit. Normally I don't much care about Box office success, but if this is HUGE, someone will pick up the TV show.

PLEASE!!!

I can't wait!!! Serenity NOW!

40. The theater I saw it in was pretty packed for an afternoon show
And it seemed that everyone loved it! Lots of laughs, some tears, people on the edge of their seat and what not. So hopefully that's a sign that it will do well.

Some of the best writing of Joss's carrer IMO. Bitter-sweet in a way cause you can really see the plans he had for the show had it not been stupidly cancelled by Fox. From what I understand the actors are under contract for TWO SEQUALS as long as Serenity does well. Here's hopeing we get at least a couple more trips back to that beautiful `verse in the future! :toast:

Great f-ing movie BTW.

15. If enough people go, the show will be picked up again for a new season
That is the reason that I have been hounded by friends and family about seeing it in the theatre since news of the movie came out.

27. Is that rumor or other
I would very much like to see the show get picked up again. Whedon's writing is always interesting. But I hear that changes occur in the movie that are not exactly easy to come back from.

29. The extras on the DVDs are fun too!
Plus if the tapes are recorded from the broadcasts, she's probably missing the episodes which never aired! Though maybe they've been syndicated since then.

28. What about the Shepard? Is he in it???
I'm sorry, I'm oblivious about what may have happened since the series ended, but from the previews it looks like all the characters are there except him.

Any spoiler-free answers?

6 hours and counting...

Of all the cast, he seemed to be the most into the show and the saddest about it's demise, so I would have been very surprised if he didn't show up for the film.

:)

Very happy!!!
