Look magazine from 1957 :)
It was actually pretty cool. It had a cover story called "Can Baseball Survive?" The article reached the conclusion that in order to survive Baseball would have to split into different leagues and divisions so west coast folks could participate more :)
The funniest things are the ads for Firestone tires with "Nuclear-controlled nylon cord technology." :rofl: and stick deodorant for "extra-difficult cases." :spray:
My mother-in-law had the cool idea of buying a current magazine when each of her children were born and keeping it for them. So my ex husband has the May 1954 edition of one of those mags - Saturday Evening Post, or Look or something like that. Pretty cool and I thought it was a good idea. Gives you an idea of what things were like when you were born. Unfortunately, all my kids had already arrived by the time she told me that!
