Here, Here! Lets all raise our Glassses and Toast the Senate Democrats
Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 01:53 PM by Homer12
They defeated Whinefest 2004 with honor, dignity, and humor. Showing that they have more principle and governmental ethics than their Republican counterparts whom SPIT on the democratic process whenever they get a chance.

The Democrats have found some of that "Spine" that they lost when they rolled over to GW before the Iraq war. Lets hope they can keep it!

Here, Here, lets raise our glassess to the Democrats who keep on fighting to keep our judical system free from extreme right-wing ideologs and the Bush administration from creating a stacked Judical Umbrella so they can get away with their crimes!

Raise your glass, we've won this small battle, but the war the RIGHT has created is not over.

4. so some of them DO have sand in their bellies!
I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Now if they can keep it up. They have three more judicial nightmares to shut down.

6. Slainte, tenacious Ds!
My senators are the very turds they held out against, but good on 'em all the same. I hope they learned that they'll have the support of their constituents -- and Dems who aren't even their constituents -- when they stand up, and will continue to do so!

13. Call them and tell them!
Mikulski and Sarbanes both got calls from me yesterday, in support of their steadfast rejection of right-wing Christian extremists as judicial nominees.

God, I miss oratory -- he reminded me of that. He worked in a great history lesson about advice and consent. Gotta love that Ted!

22. I may have to stop referring to them as invertebrates
Nice to see that some of them can still stand by a principle and see something through to completion. I hope it's the sign of more to come.
