Just performed surgery on the laptop computer...

well, Husband did... after dumping a bowl of salsa on the laptop keyboard. :scared:

So, we popped all the keys off, plus the little white plastic thingies that hold the keys on and find an enormous quantity of cat fur mixed in with the little chunks of onion and garlic and tomato.

Husband wiped it all down with alcohol, then q-tipped the hard-to-reach areas, then put a pair of my nylons over the vacuum cleaner hose and sucked up the rest of the fur-and-salsa mixture. Meanwhile, I was rinsing all the keys and plastic thingies off and blotting them dry with paper towels. Then we put the keys back on and voila! Surgery seemst to have been successful!

Felt like a bizarre game of Scrabble, though, while we were reassembling the keyboard.

I'm trying to figure out how to clean my monitor. I now understand why I couldn't wait to grow up.:P

I've field-stripped a full-sized keyboard. Never a laptop.

The damn thing was ruined after that. $1,500 down the drain.
