I'm from Maryland and have been around here for at least eight months. I had to sacrifice to donate, but I think DU is a worthy cause.

but my donation will have to wait till after Christmas.

I have 6 kids (birth, adopted and foster) and only half my shopping is done. :(

I'll be glad to ante up in January for sure. DU is second on my list of worthy causes.

3. I am from North Florida and my day is not good if I haven't spent a while

on the DU reading great posts from all the DU'ers. I have been mentally ill since Monkey Boy* stole the election and the inspiration I receive here has been my strength. Even on a busy day, I read some posts in the morning and then again before bedtime. It means a lot to me, and even though we are having some hard times financially, I wanted to contribute. I got much more than I paid for for the past year.

5. Wisconsin!!!

I donated for my first time on... Wednesday, I think it was. Now we were JUST having a 'Wisconsin meet & greet' in the DU Lounge yesterday, I didn't notice if any of you were starless, but if I can donate, you CERTAINLY can!

But legal addy is in the state of FL and don't want to go thru that again. Heard another website mentioned while watching(and swearing) CSPAN...and found the link to DU a week or so ago. Been here ever since and learning everyday. :)

Anyway, I love this place and think it is well worth the money. To everyone that posts, ask yourself what you would do if you did not have this forum? Okay, probably have a bit more free time. Anyway, I hope you think this place is worth at least $5.
