If you don't, well, your mama.

7. Cool,
Regardless of your musical taste, you must appreciate this man, I can listen to Iron Maiden (which I did this evening) and then put John on. Annie's Song is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

8. One of my favourite songs of his
Don't Close Your Eyes Tonight.

There’s a tenderness that I feel, it’s very real you see
I can feel your body stir so deep within
Let it be an out of love tonight completely
And let me ask of you one thing

Don’t close your eyes tonight
Just look at me and see how many times I cried for you
Don’t close your eyes tonight
Let it be me, not just a fantasy
Let it be me tonight

Well you can lie so close to someone and still feel alone
And though I heard you say you loved me so many times
While you give me love so beautiful and tender
Someone else is in your mind

Don’t close your eyes tonight
Just look at me and see how many times I cried for you
Don’t close your eyes tonight
Let it be me, not just a fantasy
Let it be me tonight

Sorry if I cry - feelings run so deep
Many is a time when I’ll wake up and find
That I’m crying in my sleep
Look me in the eye, tell me what you see
I’m the one who loves you, I’m the one who needs you
Make this one for me

Don’t close youe eyes tonight
Just look at me and see how many times I cried for you
Don’t close your eyes tonight
Let it be me, not just a fantasy
Let it be me tonight

10. I love John Denver!!!
Love him! I'm sorta square maybe when it comes to music. Im only 32 and my range in music that I love has always spanned many many decades. When I was in High school and my friends listened to INXS I was listening to James Taylor and John Denver.....I kept up on U2 and all the others but I didn't limit myself to the top 40.

Anyhow, I own John Denver and the Muppets on record and dvd.....also my wife brought home a gift for me a few weeks ago...better than flowers. She brought home John Denver the Wildlife concert on dvd.

His music brings back so many good memories from my childhood. When ever I hear his music or see a repeat concert etc I just get such a good vibe from him. I think he was such a beautiful soul!

I was hit hard when he died. Caught me by surprise how sad I was. He was inspiring and honest.

14. I like his older stuff!
I wasn't too thrilled when tried to change his image to some kind of romantic crooner ala' Michael Bolton. His folk style was his strong point.

16. Me, too. His songs make me feel optimistic and happy.
I'll admit that part where he screams "Thank GOD I'm a country boy!" is a little cringe-worthy, tho.
:)

18. I have an acquaintance that sent me 6,000 trivia questions on JD
She's a little fixated.

The questions were for a trivia bot I run on IRC, just so that isn't left dangling.
