Refs in F**kaneers/Lions game worked for Diebold
Edited on Sun Oct-02-05 04:14 PM by ih8thegop
The Lions scored a touchdown, but the booth asked for a review, and the call was overturned. Instead, the ref ruled it out of bounds, even though both feet were clearly in.

1. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you're not a Bucs fan
I didn't see the play in question, so I have no opinion.

3. We Was Robbed!!!!!
I'm getting kind of irked with the officiating in the NFL lately. I saw the play, it was a TD all the way. Frickin' jugheads are turning the game into a flag and zebra show, it sucks.

15. of the first one? They called TD on the field, there is no way that
should have been overruled by that video.

(uninterested 3rd party viewpoint)

6. I would have called it a touchdown, honestly.
You know, that's why I don't support Instant Replay in the regular season. The calls and balls just bounce a team's way.

7. Self-inflicted incompletion and defeat
Why the hell did he slide? You never lead with your legs or knees in front of you, if the sideline or end line is there. That's why the expression is dragging your feet, not extending your feet.

p.s. I can't stand Gruden but as a former Tampa Bay area resident it's good to see the Bucs winning, again.

9. My dad and I were discussing this.
Like I said to him, "So long as the call's for the Bucs, I'll be happy."

And whaddyaknow...

17. this is making me suspicious
last week the Bucs needed the refs to beat the Packers (the TB fumble that was blown dead, the GB catch that was called a trap (making the field goal attempt which missed about seven yards longer). Are they getting officiating help every week, or just when they play the Central division?

10. the ref crew should expect a formal reprimand from the league this week
a pic at the bottom of the thread...remember, it was initially called a TD, and somewhere, the refs saw enough evidence to actually overturn it!

16. The throw to Pollard looked like a TD
when I saw it on NFL Primetime. He had possession before he slid out of bounds. Lions got jobbed on that one. Williams was out on the second one, but they should never have had to run that play.
