Tech help

I have a little animated gif I want to include with my posts. How do I do it?

1. Copy it into your sig line. Sig lines are found under "profiles"

Paste the address into that box.

On edit: sig lines are currently off, so I don't know if you have a sig line regularly. :hi:

3. I'll try again, but I'm not the most capable person when it comes to

explaining this. Right mouse click on the picture, click on properties, highlight the address or location (http) and click "copy" - then you should be able to go to your sig line and hit "paste" Your image won't appear until later, but you can test it by pasting it into your message box as well.

If you're getting it from another site, right-click on the gif, select 'Properties.' Highlight the http address, copy it (ctrl+c), close the properties box. In your DU profile, paste the address into the sig line (ctrl+v).

But if the gif is on your harddrive, you need something like a photobucket account. Upload the gif to photobucket, then follow the instructions above.

5. Photobucket maybe would be a good place to start.

Go there or to some other online place where you can upload a picture and just follow the directions. They haven't bothered me so that's why I recommended Photobucket. Just register a photo album and go to the upload page.

Upload the picture and then copy the code after it uploads. It'll be something like

Then go to your options page on DU and enter that as your signature line.

Done...

I think that's how I did mine.
