Yet another patriotic citizen.
I wonder what their stance on the flag desecration amendment is?

1. Yeah, I wonder too.
I also wonder about the guy a block north of me who has a flag nailed to the woodwork above his garage door, so it hangs down over the door, blocking entry and exit. Does he think about it every time he hits it with the hood of his vehicle, or backs into it with the ass end of his car, how much he loves America? It hangs out there in the rain, too, because it's not mounted on a pole -- it's nailed to the woodwork.

2. To split hairs on this, the photos depict Nationalists

Not a patriotic American.

My guess is they may believe in shooting those bastards who despoil the flag and what it stands for.

But if you look up the "Rules" concerning Old Glory, people aren't supposed to sell those itty-bitty little flags..it isn't befitting the glory of Old Glory. Also. flags on t-shirts, ball caps and such are big anti-American no nos.

( Is despoil a real word?)

3. That ain't a Flag, that's a Rag!
and I hate when people let them get like that. That doesn't show any kind of respect.

Flag etiquette, people. Look it up. It's not respectful to let a flag look worse than a used diaper.

7. I know that was your point
I was ranting about the SUV festooned with dirty rags. I particularly hate when people put two of those plastic-stalk flags on either side of their windows. Looks like a low-rent diplomatic vehicle.

10. Shortly after 9/11 I had put one of those flags on my car
Don't know why...

More interestingly, people would tailgate me and honk their horns and go around me.

Of course, I had a bunch of pro-GLBT bumper stickers on my car at the time...

Sheesh, America's nationalist, fascist-loving public just doesn't like it when people are proud to show their flag. Being gay, I'm obviously less than an American and less of a human than they are.

5. Even Worse
I started seeing them in gutters and along the sides of streets about two weeks after 9/11/01.

It took me all of two minutes to find a webpage version of the Flag Code and print it out.

Most SUV owners have computers. But not brains, I guess.

6. The Flag Is Not Sacred
"Desecrating" the flag implies that there's something sacred about it. This is more than right wing jingoism, it's making a religion out of patriotism.
