Laboratory Food
All plants are in a constant co-evolutionary struggle with preditory animals and insects. As a result plants have all devised ways of protecting themselves from these dangers. In addition to the good, healthy things found in fresh fruits and vegetables are various toxins, insecticides and poisons manufactured by the plant itself to protect itself.

The so-called "healthy" diet of pure organically grown food is still riddled with poisons that pollute our bodies. The only completely healthy food is artificial food, crated in the laboratory to contain only the good stuff and none of the bad stuff.

Some day, when we figure out how to make the best factory-made food we will see a dramatic improvement in the overall health of the human species as we finally abandon the natural poisons that polute food grown in the dirt.

In the meantime, stick with soft drinks and twinkies. Whatever you do, stay away from those poisonous meats, vegetables, and other bio-garbage that spawns in the muck and mud. Yuck!

1. There is some truth to this.
A remember a paper in an environmental science journal about 5 years ago that compared big truck farm vegetables that used herbicides and pesticides with vegetables from an organic farm. The former had both more nutrients and less toxins and bacteria that the latter. I'll have to look up the reference.

2. Fruits are good for mammals though
The plant evolved large fruiting bodies so mammals and birds would eat them. The seed(s) would pass through the digestive system. The new plant(s) would then grow in a heap of fertilizer a distance away from the parent plant. Although plants evolved not to be eaten, they also evolved using animals to help spread pollen and seed. Some mechanisms are actually beneficial to animals including humans. All animals and humans today also evolved with these plants to protect themselves from plant toxins and better use the chemicals and nutrients provided by the plant.
