I love the clips from it that they have been showing on Comedy Central. He is such a talent and so insightful, it may well be another excellent show.

This Week In God will be sorely missed, but something tells me Mr Colbert will find an avenue of expression of his interest in religion.

Months ago, parts of TDS would be clips from Colbert's "show", which were all fake and just part of TDS. Stupidly once I enquired on DU -- "duh, anyone know what time Stephen Colbert's show is going to air?"

Now my dreams have come true.

4. Count me worried

Some people are great background characters. Others shine best running the show. Way way too often a background actor gets so popular that they think they can run off and do their own show. Only then do people find out that its the limited doses that make them funny.

I like Colbert. But I am worried.

I do not share your pessimism, although I acknowledge it. I have a feeling Stephen Colbert is going to put together a hell of a show on his own.

I sure hope he pulls it off. :-)

A whole hour of political satire by two very clever (and easy-on-eyes) commentators? I'm hoping the two shows will share writers (Colbert himself is a talented writer) but no matter what, I'm sure it will be excellent.
