I have worn mine since the day we got married (25+years ago), with the exception of when i've had to have MRI's done. They insist on no jewelery in those!

But, aside from that, it's there. In fact, i couldn't pretend to be unmarried, even if i were so inclined. There's an indentation on my left hand ring finger that has to be an eighth inch deep, all the way around.
