Origin of phrase "I said good day!!!"..... ?
Just watched Jon from TDS last night and he said it with a British accent. Of course, Fez from The 70's Show says it all the time. IS there an origin? My daughter just asked and I have no idea....

1. I think "Good Day" means that you are parting ways
and to repeat yourself like that means "I am done talking to you"

2. willie wonka?
wasn't that used by Wonka in the original when he bids Charlie and his grandfather goodbye angrily before Charlie's gesture of kindness.

Wonka - "It's all here in black and white, clear as crystal! You stole Fizzy Lifting Drinks so you get nothing. Good Day"

Uncle Charlie - "You're an inhuman monster!"

5. Ebenezer Scrooge says it early on in "A Christmas Carol"
as he wants to escape from a solicitor for a charitable contribution.

11. Yes, that's what I think it is too....
I remember seeing a live theater performance of A Christmas Carol and this line stood out to me as delivered by the British actor playing Scrooge.

12. That is in fact from the movie "Tootsie"
and it's a southern accent. Dustin Hoffman's character is auditioning for a role on a soap and has a bit of dialogue in which "she" is dismissing a sexist male doctor.

Watch the movie and you will see that is clearly what Jon is referencing.
