Yet another casualty of the * economy
I just got laid off from a job I've had for 11 years. They let 7 of us go due to lack of work. This is a small family run business that was doing really well in the 90's. Now, not so much.
So, I now join the ranks of the unemployed. Seems to be growing at an alarming rate.
I'm a test tech so my prospects don't look too bight for the same line of work, I've pretty much been outsourced.
Well, Maybe this will work out to be an opportunity for something better.

1. Good luck to you.
I lost my job recently. I did find another in a different field and for less money.
Everyone's hurting right now. I'm afraid of the winter.

2. Winter is indeed a scary thought
Almost everyone I know personally who has been laid off in the past few years has eventually found something but for less pay.
Hard times ahead I fear, for all of us.

4. Food has gone up, heating will be pricey this year
and the dreaded petro prices are frightening. I don't have very much money right now but I'm really scared for those who are on very fixed budgets(SS, assistance). They'll feel it most of all and will have some hard choices to make this year.

3. May everything work out for you, gypsy.
 I hope that you can get another job and one that will help you out. Isn't the economy so wonderful? Between lay offs, outsourcing, late credit card payments and high gas prices, our economy is wonderful for the rich. May you get through the winter well.

5. Thank you
I'm not all that bad off right now, I'll be okay through the winter, I think. They gave me a nice severance package. They were good people to work for.
I really feel for the people who are not as lucky as I am. I so badly wish that things could be different in the world.
