I've been really weirded out all day due to Bush's little psycho-gathering this morning. I needed the escape.. This movie will do just fine. :)

It puts me in mind of better times -- John Candy was still with us and Steve Martin was funny.

3. "No sir, we don't know how fast we were going, the odometer is all burned
up." or however he said it. That whole scene with the car, and after it cuaght on fire, had me rolling with laughter. I love that movie!

4. "How cold is it?" - "I don't know. One?"
Another brilliant line - "one" was way funnier than "zero". A perfect choice of punchline.

7. Tell us how they deal with the best scene
The airport rental car scene. Something tells me they may as well skip it. :-) At least most of the rest of it won't be too screwed by censoring.

8. John Candy deserved a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for that role.

9. The fact that the Oscars completely ignore comedy means they have
absolutely no significance whatsoever, IMHO.

11. The Oscars are.... just the Oscars. A good film will find an audience
sooner or later. That film is classic. And I can never get over how a they used a song as corny as EVERY TIME YOU GO AWAY to just make you sob. Candy is awesome.

13. John Hughes's best film, by far
I really wish he had delved into the adult world more than once. Few comedies have more heart and soul.
