I think I have Avian Flue
Seriously. Someone left the flue open in the fireplace, and now there's a sparrow-type bird flying around inside the glass doors.

Do I try to get it out or just hope it flies back up the flue?

1. It will not fly up.
I always get birds in fireplace.Open a door to the outside and then let it out it will eventually find it's way out.If you don't let it out it will die in there.

2. What are the odds of it finding its way out?
The fireplace is nowhere near a door. I feel like I should trap and release or something. It's pretty frantic in there.

Plus, I don't want a frantic bird crapping all over the place in its search for an exit.

3. Close all the blinds, curtains, etc.
He/she will find his/her way if the door is the only light/breeze coming in.

4. You can try a pillowcase.
I did it that way the first time it happened,my door is only a few feet from the fireplace.
