"CSI" (The original).
"Without a Trace"
"Number" (David Krumholtz makes math damned sexy!)

What about you?

29. Have you read any Ann Rule?
If you like AJ and City Confidential, you'd probably enjoy any number of them. Also, that former FBI agent/megalomaniac John Douglas wrote two fascinating books: "Mindhunter" and "Anatomy of Motive." "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin DeBecker is another compulsive non-fiction-read.

32. I've been a loyal "Amazing Race" fan
until this sucky "Family Edition." Not interested in seeing people climb in and out of SUV's on a tour of the East Coast.

What makes the show interesting is watching Americans having to cope in foreign locales. Granted, some of their behavior is cringeworthy, but getting a tour of the world makes up for a lot. Hope they return to the original format or they've lost me.

1) House, M.D. - I haven't looked this forward to Tuesday TV since Buffy ended.

2) Lost - engrossing and well-written, but darn it! The last two episodes were just too short!

3) The Daily Show - funniest. show. ever!

4) tie - Harvey Birdman & Robot Chicken (love Adult Swim!)

5) Deadwood - another well-written and well acted show, will someone *please* just give Ian McShane an Emmy already?!?!

Honorable Mention: Good Eats - better and more fun to watch than most network drivel out there...

And they won't be back on until January 2006.

Actually, in the interim when I watch TV it's usually some true crime thing on A&E or Court TV like American Justice, Cold Case Files, Forensic Files, The Investigators, Psychic Detective, From the Case Files of Henry Lee, Body of Evidence, Extreme Evidence, and Masterminds.

I've read most of Ann Rule's and John Douglas' books, too.

that got me hooked. So your mom took care of Cheryl? That's crazy! That Diane Downs is something evil, eh? I was sleepy the other week and picked it back up just to read over the good parts, it's so enthralling.

The Stranger Beside Me is another one of my favorites. The last one I read was about Ann Marie Fahey and that crazy bastard lawyer that took her out to sea.

Ann Rule rocks!

46. Yes she does!
I sent Ann an email (she has a website), telling her that mom helped take care of Cheryl, and that I know a lot of the people she talks about at McKenzie Willamette Hospital, and she answered me back! That put her up another notch in my book!

Mom said she saw Diane one day when she came -- with her dad -- to see Cheryl. This was when they started barring Diane from seeing Cheryl. Well, daddy was raising a ruckus at the unit desk, and Diane was standing a little away from him, with what my mom said was the absolutely creepiest and evil smile on her face. Mom said she wanted to go over and smack her till her teeth rattled!

So your mom's a pedes nurse? Nurses see a little of everything. You know that bastard dad probably molested Diane. What a sick, sick family. I think it's amazing that Fred Hugi and his wife later adopted Cheryl and Danny. I'd be curious how they are now.

I've heard Ann Rule keeps in close touch with her fanbase. That's so cool!

55. Here's a link to her website.
She does periodic updates on the people involved in the crimes she writes about. Cheryl and Danny are doing very well, and absolutely thrived with the Hugi's.

BTW, mom was a CNA and a Ward Secretary (after she blew a knee and shoulder from years of patient care).

Anyway, the link: http://www.annrules.com/

41. Out herein the country I only get 1 station
which is NBC, so my knowledge of the new shows is somewhat limited. I can, however list the ones that I think are real stinky. Here are my awards:

Worst all around: The Office

Just plain worst: My Name is Earl

Brat worst: Surface

Cheesy Brat Worst: Vegas

Not so Bad except for its association w/ Vegas (which I actually really do kind of like): Crossing Jordan

Yeah, like this is really believable: Surface (0h, that's 2 - so sue me!)

Martha How could you do this!?: The Apprentices (including the Donald)

The Biggest Loser: The Biggest Loser

Bad Laws and in No Particular Order: Law and Order SVU

Gives Me Nightmares: The Medium

I will not touch Will and Grace because of potential because of potential flame problems, except to say that it has outlived its usefullness . . . whatever the hell THAT was!

Terra Alert!!!: E Ring (Dennis we hardly knew ye)

Special Award for the best pre season promo: Martha disses the Donald's Hair

Alias
Medium
