2. I also love her "How to Write a Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta"
After she retired, she kept on living in Ontario, Canada (not too far from my hometown!).

I have to confess that I heard her version of "The Ring" before I actually saw any of the "serious" performances -- and when I did finally get to attend an opera, I got the giggles just thinking of her explanation of "Siegfried and his aunts" -- and had to step out of the auditorium until I had recovered.
