2. Well, you do not want 4 inches at once
A lot of cars that were driving were washed off the road.

10. That's what happened to my daughter last night.
She found out today that he car is not repairable. It would cost almost $10,000 just to clean up and fix the interior--totally swamped with mud. Her car is a 2000 with over 100,000 miles, so it's certainly is not worth repairing, but worth a lot more to her than I'm sure she'll get from insurance. Poor girl was quite upset and frightened by the whole incident--it's a little scary when your car starts floating! Who would have thought she'd have flood damage in Minneapolis....

11. I am so sorry to hear about that
Flash floods are always a possibility here in Minnesota. But they are usually not THAT bad.

I hope she has decent insurance to cover most of a newer car.

8. No, I ran for cover!
I was driving for a brief while in it yesterday, and literally had to pull over because I could not see.

9. No, no rowboat
But I believe the seats in the car can act as floatation devices, wait, no, that is just in airplanes!
