Filet Mignon, asparagus, and Rice-a-Roni
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 08:36 PM by Finnfan
That's what I'm making SarahBelle for dinner. Am I a romantic guy or what?

Oh, I also have Amstel Light. It's a 2005. It has a nice bouquet.

What's the last meal you made for your sweetheart?

1. Linguine with vodka cream sauce.
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 08:36 PM by GOPisEvil
It always seems to go over well.

Edit - I haven't made it since, I don't like cooking it for myself.

2. Have you ever had puttenesca?
It's one of my favorites. Good if you like spicy stuff. The vodka cream sauce is good, too. You can come up to CT and cook it for us!

3. I haven't, but I might try it. I have a recipe for it.
Spicy is good.

If I could get up there, I'd go. :)

Wait until you are five years in and she gets pissed at you for daring to make rise a roni and throws it against the wall.... (LOL)

Do you think Hamburger Helper would be OK?

5. Cranberry glazed chicken breasts
dirty rice, homemade creamed corn, homemade parker house rolls and apple pie for desert.

You can tell I had the day off from work.

The little munchkins sucked it in so fast it made my ears pop.

7. Sounds great.
My son only eats pizza, hot dogs, steak, plain roast chicken, or chicken nuggets. And both of his parents consider themselves gourmets! It's great that your kids eat more of a variety.

12. What?!?!?!?!?!?!
Rice-a-Roni?

Amstel LIGHT?!

Jesus, if yer gonna go filet mignon and asparagus, at least make real rice, and serve a GOOD beer.

Might as well serve Ripple and Kraft Mac and Cheese with fresh Maine Lobster and truffles.

13. Two recent meals:
The last one I made for him was roast chicken with potatoes, carrots, onions and corn (the veggies roasted with the chicken and cooked in its fat), with a tomato-basil salad.

The last one we made for each other and his little girl was tacos with beans and rice, and homemade apple-honey ice cream.

at his request.

We have a "backward" relationship - he cooks during the week, and I make breakfast on the weekends.
