When Sarek says "I will speak with you alone", you boot everyone out

even if it's your birthday party, even if the president of the Federation is in your apartment, even if you're in the middle of sex.

Sarek is one of those guys who has earned every right not to be disappointed or to be told "please wait".

I love Sarek. And, by comparison, anyone who is in that kind of role, a person who is so respected that even his superiors by title realize and know that they are actually subordinate by nature.

4. His character was an incredible invention,

and I'm glad that, once he was used, other writers saw the potential in his character.

He's my fave non-regular character as well.

Mark Lenard played him fucking perfectly.

Sarek married a human, a very emotional human, and then they concieved a child.

then he proceeded to alienate and make his child feel bad for not being a true dispassionate, completely rational vulcan. He should have known his son would be this way.

then he basically disowned his son for not choosing the path he wanted him to take in life.

so basically, Sarek is a dick.
