Snake bursts after gobbling gator

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/pop_ups/05/americas_enl_1128575604/html/1.stm

An unusual clash between a 6-foot (1.8m) alligator and a 13-foot (3.9m) python has left two of the deadliest predators dead in Florida's swamps.

The Burmese python tried to swallow its fearsome rival whole but then exploded.

The remains of the two giant reptiles were found by astonished rangers in the Everglades National Park.

The rangers say the find suggests that non-native Burmese pythons might even challenge alligators' leading position in the food chain in the swamps.

2. There is an important lesson in this, but chances are slim the junta
will get it:

You may be at the top of the food chain in YOUR neighborhood, but beware your ignorance of other predators! The world is bigger than your limited understanding and there are perils out there you never dreamed of.

Sorta an ish-y story, but it does sort of inspire thoughts of some interesting shoes, belts or handbag
