I was beginning to think it had something to do with my computer.

My next step would have been to shut down here and turn on my laptop to check for the bucket that way.

I get slightly overwhelmed with cyber space technology at times.

websites hosted by Cogent. There are apparently several sites having the same problems.

Edited to add:

The issue also has something to do with your internet provider too. Seems to be between Cogent and Aol-Time Warner/RR from what I had read. I have Time-Warner RR.

Got this listing from yesterdays status report:
Road Runner is currently experiencing issues with connectivity to websites hosted by Cogent. This issue is being caused by third party issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
