1. Wisconsin: We Don't Need No Stinkin' Seasons!
Isn't it nuts? Last night my apartment was about 60,000 degrees, this morning it was about -60,000 degrees.
I miss fall.

4. It's crazy.
My SO, last night, 11 pm: "Damn, it's hot in here. You get some sleep; I'll come in when it's cooled off."
1 am: Comes into bed, sleeps on top of the covers, not wearing anything, still complaining it's hot.
6:45 this morning, as I'm leaving for work: Completely silent. The sheets, blankets and comforter are no longer on the bed proper, but wrapped, cocoon-like, around him.
8 this morning, via e-mail: "Crap, it's cold in here. Does the heat always take this long to kick on?"

6. Yeah! Mine slept in the other room with the AC on last night
I come in this morning and say, "You are aware it's 40 degrees out, right?" He's a freak though, he likes it that way.
I'm dreading going home, actually, because the second it's less than 65 degrees outside the neighbor kicks on the heat and makes it about 8 billion degrees in the building. Not controlling the heat is no good.

9. Ugh, I'd hate that.
I have control over the heat in that I can turn it on and hope, but it's an old, creaky system that will be replaced (per my landlord's insurer's orders) in the next couple of weeks.

I hope, at least, you don't have to pay for heat.

12. It gets a little out of control...
But I like renting because I've always been able to find great, inexpensive apartments that don't charge for heat. If I had to pay for heat I'd have to give up cable, Internet connection, or food.
I can always open a window if I have to.

Kinda chilly-has that nasty damp feel to it.
