"time", as a concept, has no meaning.
As a Braves fan, this could just as well be any number of years since 1991. As the father to a 16-day-old, 11:01 pm could be 5:49 am could be 1:37 pm could be 3:04 am.

Deep thoughts for your Sunday evening, or whenever the hell it is.

1. "Meaning," as a concept, has no time.
Are you saying the Braves are out of the playoffs yet again?

11. Not now, but they did. Now it's other stuff.
I thought you were talking about the Braves. Now that I know the subject is sleep deprivation, allow me to commmiserate with you.

May I suggest shots of tequila? One for you, one for the kid ought to do it.

10. Pfft! Not anymore.
When the front office starts treating the fan base with respect, I'll return. It's not that they're bad. Hell, when I gave up on the Rox in 2000 I went with the Red Sox. My uncle told me to prepare for a lifetime of heartbreak and disappointment. That may still turn out to be the case. However, the Rockies continually kick their fans in the groin by trading away or releasing all of our favorite players, who then turn up on other, better teams. Show me an ML roster and I can likely find at least 2 former Rockies.

When Dan O'Dowd and his clowns start respecting the fans and building a *real* team, I'll put my Rox hat back on. 'Till then, Go Sox and...

Goooooooo Broncos!!!

(Seriously, the Braves? They should step aside and let the Phils win next year. I'd love to see some postseason action from the Phanatic.)

15. Or the Braves could just hire the Phanatic.
Really, it's all about the Phanatic. He/She belongs on Sesame Street. Is it wrong to want to give the Phanatic a big hug?

12. Without time, matter and energy cannot exist
Movement is not just defined in the x, y, z coordinates of space, but also in the t coordinates of time.

Even in the humble atom, electrons whirl around the nucleus at a speed comparable to that of light. How can they do this without a time dimension to move through?

If one could stop time dead in its tracks - I mean really stop time - matter and energy alike would just dissociate and coalesce in some subtle manner into a cold, dark, and unorganized quantum foam at a temperature of absolute zero.

In short, time is your friend.
