David Lee Roth to Succeed Howard Stern
Official: Diamond Dave Gets Howard's Job

The rumors were true: I can tell you exclusively that sometime next month, Infinity Broadcasting will announce that David Lee Roth is taking over for Howard Stern.

The one-time lead singer of Van Halen will assume the microphone in New York and several other markets where Stern's show is heard.

From the front man of Van Halen, one of the greatest kick-ass rock bands ever, to replacing Howard Stern?!?

How the mighty have fallen....:wtf:

The sound of Diamond Dave's career bottoming out.

I thought he was going to be a paramedic.

3. He did the paramedic training. There would be a lot more success and honor
for him in that career, methinks.

4. He will last a month
And only then because corporate execs are stubborn about admitting mistakes. Its hard to believe that any sane person would make this call. Roth is one of the most annoying men on the planet, he can be amusing on 30 second snippets, but noone, absolutely noone, will tune in and listen to him during a long commute every day.

Chiusano has such great judgment, I still remember the Greaseman.

6. Greaseman was actually fairly popular in the DC market for quite some time
I remember this because I grew up there during that time. He was obnoxious and annoying and not half as talented as Stern, it's true...

There's no accounting for taste.

7. Yep. I lived in Maryland during his heyday.
I was in highschool, and kids were always quoting him every day.

10. He did a guest shot for a few mornings on a Boston station last year,
or earlier this year. He wasn't acting like his obnoxious self and was being cool with the callers--but of course that was just a guest shot, not his own show. Apparently he has been working as a paramedic; he was telling some stories about things that happened on that job.
